Black Fork Ranch Famous Chuck Roast
- Using a pan, brown all sides of the roast.
- Season the roast generously with salt, pepper, onion, and garlic.
- Turn your crockpot on low and add 1/4 cup of water to the bottom.
- Put the roast into the crockpot and sprinkle a 1/2 package of BROWN GRAVY MIX onto the roast.
- Sprinkle a 1/2 package of Ranch Dressing Mix onto the Roast.
- Let slow cook for 6+ hours and enjoy!
Traditional Chuck Roast
- Using a pan, brown all sides of the roast.
- Pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup of beef broth into a crockpot or roasting pan.
- Season the roast with desired spices (we suggest onion, salt, and pepper).
- Move the roast into the crockpot or roasting pan.
- Add sliced potatoes, carrots, and celery all around the roast and around the pot.
- Cook on low (crockpot) or around 200-250 degrees in oven for 6+ hours (make sure there is enough broth in the bottom to keep the meat moist).
- Enjoy!
Jones Shredded Meat
- Take your roast and put it into a crockpot.
- Add 1 TBSP Chicken Bouillon
- Add 1 TBSP Beef Boullion
- Add 1 to 2 TSP garlic powder and then add 1 cup of water.
- Cook overnight (or 6-8 hours).
- After the slow cooking, take the roast and shred the meat.
- Put meat back in crockpot
- Add 1/2 chopped onion (white)
- Add 1/3 cup jalapeno pepper, deveined and deseeded.
- Let the meat simmer for 2 to 6 more hours.
- If not salty enough, add more bouillon and garlic.
- Serve as a burrito or fajita or taco and enjoy!
